Gas cartridges in NZ

Are self sealing Primus-type camping gas cartridges widely available in NZ,
or should I take my less convenient 'burn any flammable liquid' stove?

Available almost anywhere in NZ. They arent THAT muchin the dark ages there.

Yes, they are generally available. In the Fiordland/Te Anau area they
can be rented from Bev's Tramping Gear:
