Try instead this award winning park:
http://ww.ashmorepalms.com.au
Treasure Island is on
the busy Brisbane Road and a major intersection. Across the road from
Harbour town
Shopping Centre - you can do much better than that on the coast! The
Broadwater Caravan
Park at Labrador (Council run) looks good as well, but no where near the
standard of
Ashmore Palms.

I hope you've got all accommodation etc booked and confirmed. The Bali
bombing will lead to a mass cancellation by Australians planning to holiday
there, and many of them will endeavour to get into the Gold Coast!!

Welcome to the Gold Coast - nothing closes here we really look aftaer the
tourist. There are lots of theme parks and things like the Wax museum and
Ice Wonders and for the "older children !! " the Casino.

The hinterland has lots of places to drive to and see the tropical forests
and at O'Rielly's in the hinterland there is a canopy walk which enables you
to walk amid the tree tops..

The Currumbin wild life sanctury in a must - all kinds of animals , birds ,
and reptiles and at around 8.30 am you can watch the masses of Rainbow
Lorikeets being fed. ( when they eat all they want there they come to my
balcony as I live 10 minutes from the sanctury

-The fact is you will not be able to do everything or see everything in a
week - Have a great time and enjoy every moment - by the way the clubs are
good for "cheap eats" especiall the Tweed R>S>L - all visitors are welcome
just sign the visitors book on entry. They also have shows and visiting
bands and artists.

Hi Des,
How are you? If your heart is set on the Gold Coast why don't you go on a
farm? That way you get to be around animals and see how the rest of the
farming world work. Sea world, Dreamworld, Movie World, Currumbin Wildlife
Sanctuary will all be open to.

Lamington National Park

On the Gold Coast Hinterlands just 30 mins drive from Surfers Paradise,
enjoy 160km (100 miles) of walking tracks leading through the park beside
crystal clear streams, to cascades and waterfalls, through wind eroded caves
in volcanic ash, cliffs. fern filled gullies and mountain lookouts with
spectacular views. Take a day trip from the coast or stay in a mountain
resort or lodge.

I hope this is what you looking for

Cheers

Thanks Ray
We have all of those in the itinerary, in fact we have already bought and
received the passes for the week for the amusement parks. We are dropping
into Lamington on our way to Currumbin Wildlife sanctuary.

I guess I was looking for what the locals would do traditionally around
Christmas with their families in regard to things such as community
organized Christmas Caroling or Christmas plays, concerts and the like.

    > Lamington National Park
    > On the Gold Coast Hinterlands just 30 mins drive from Surfers Paradise,
    > enjoy 160km (100 miles) of walking tracks leading through the park beside
    > crystal clear streams, to cascades and waterfalls, through wind eroded
caves
    > in volcanic ash, cliffs. fern filled gullies and mountain lookouts with
    > spectacular views. Take a day trip from the coast or stay in a mountain
    > resort or lodge.
    > I hope this is what you looking for
