That's a 'bite repellant'

That's the difference with Mosquito Milk (and presumably some other insect repellants?)
It actually repels the insects.
When you're wearing it, they don't buzz all around you and especially they
don't get in between your eyes and your specs.

liz, an insect repellent is an insect repellent. there's no repellent
that provides you with a 50-feet-mosquito-protection-shield and there's
no special "bite repellent" (whatever maybe written on the it's
package). repellents (even the strongest) are effective only at short
distances from the treated surface, so you may still see mosquitoes
flying nearby. But as long as you are not getting bitten, there is no
reason to apply more repellent or to doubt of your repellent.

sure, if there aren't much mosquitos, you won't notice much of them, but
that doesn't actually mean it's because of your repellent. ;-)

btw. the stronger the repellent is or the higher DEET-concentration it
has, doesn't mean it will keep the mozzies farer away, it just means it
protects you for a longer time.

Given that you are not supposed to put mosquito repellant around the eye
area, it always worries me when mozzies get between my eyes and my specs.
And I did sometimes get bitten there using a bite repellant..
Therefore I prefer an insect repellant which I don't have to cover every mm
of skin with or else they might find a bit to bite, and they don't buzz in
around my eyes.
This is just my preference. Your mileage might be different.

More likely *less* time, as it gets sweated off quicker.

check out the concentration in relation to the protection time. i think
this question should be answered now. ;-)

here's the article to the picture i mentioned above:

have fun
javier

ps: i don't think you should put any repellent around your eyes area,
specially if it contains DEET!

I guess that "Gone Plus Repelling Wristband" works by throwing it at the
mosquito? Only if you hit the mosquito, it works (0.2 minutes).
