Distances & times
I will be in Swaziland for most of the summer and I want to drive up to
Kruger for 2 or 3 nights. How far is it from Mbabane and how long will
it take to the Crocodile Bridge gate? What should I expect at the
border crossing? Can anyone suggest a good, cheap rental car outfit in
Swaziland that won't mind their car being driven to Kruger and back?

As far as I can remember, it is quite close - not more that 2 hours drive
and this includes bad traffic and the border crossing. I doubt whether you
will have any problem with a hiring company as all the major companies in
Southern Africa, have the headquarters in Joburg. When you are in Mbabane -
check what deals they offer - they also have specials. There is very little
to chose from between AVIS, BUDGET, EUROCAR, IMPERIAL, HERTZ, etc.
Swaziland is a beautiful place with very friendly people - can be a bit
crowded at times. Enjoy your stay.
