Love that comment Hottoday However even that theory is under scrutiny. having decided that the aborigines were the oldest race on earth and there is doubt that they came from Africa.! Oh yeah.. I see another post

Scientists have accidentally discovered a method to convert CO2 to Ethanol cheaply using low energy.
We may soon have huge suction fans sucking in air to a catalyst that converts the CO2 to ethanol and returning the oxygen to the atmosphere.
Scientists just accidentally discovered a process that turns CO2 directly into ethanol - ScienceAlert

Thats more than a tad scary (re.highest levels of co2 in 4 million yrs) were they able to measure how much was emitted by the original rain forest and or plus dinosaurs ?
I wonder if the USA will ever share that data? or will it remain under wraps till the earth runs out of oil.?

Sadly, it will remain under wraps as income from fossil fuels is more important.
It is a wonder that Elon Musk is still alive today.

Well the oldest found related human bones have been found in Africa and human DNA today is traced back to Africa the aborigines are the oldest living race alive today but only occupied that part of the world some 50,000 years ago although i have seen unwarranted claims of some 120,000 years ago Compared to stone cutting tools food in Ethiopia that date some 2.5 million years ago

I was lucky enough to try a Tesla last Christmas and was suitably impressed (unfortunately the owner wanted it back though )

But now he's daring to venture into more mass-market territory, suddenly the press is full of investors "concerned" about his decision to take over a huge battery producing plant (designed to reduce the cost of the key component in his motors) and issues with his driver-assist software. How they'll react to his Powerwall battery pack for solar panels and his solar roof tiles, goodness only knows.

Imagine what innovations we'd see if all the motor companies invested in green solutions, instead of just tinkering with ways to spin out the internal combustion engine for a few more decades!

Apparanty he is building the battery factory in Nevada-- Plus he is in negotiations to build a mega one in Europe.. He is seriously looking at Portugal to be that place. It would deliver 6,500 jobs and 22,000 indirect jobs and cost 5 billion dollars

Now, that would be a just reward for a country so committed to green energy - it could make a whole new sector in the economy.

Elon Musk's not so sure about this guy looking at his videos on Y.T regarding his intended Mars mission and colonization 2024 its explained as a somewhat routine task by Mr Musk a bit like driving your car over the 25 de Abril Bridge.

The mars idea is half cracked; but the cars really exist, so the guy is more than hot air.

Its not just the motor companies, just imagine the reaction of the utility suppliers if low cost high capacity batteries became available for the domestic solar power market..

Low cost?
Well, that would be different.
Every research team on the planet has been trying to achieve that for the last 100 years.

... actually not - he believes that "problems" can be designed out and/or overcome by an alternative approach. It takes money to back this, but so far the Tesla cars, the powerwall and the new solar roof tiles all show distinct advantages over the "competition".

What has got the US auto makers worried, is his move from "proving" his powertrain in a high-priced (but also high quality) sports car (The Roadster, starting at $102k), to producing a more affordable mass market version (the Model 3 at about $35k).

Suddenly Mercedes and BMW are announcing their own EVs to compete. So whatever the motivation and/or the direct outcome for Elon Musk, he is forcing the industry to move faster than it has done before.
