Default robberies while homes occupied

Today in the normally peacefull area I live in a wealthy retired Portuguese couple had their house broken into.... most of the info is rumour so far but what has been realsed via the press is that it was a failed robbery. The house was set on fire & the couple were found dead next their unopened safe! (smoke that actually killed them)

This seems to be becoming a worrying trend in Portugal to rob occupied houses of the wealthy(although it happens with the averge Joe Bloggs too)... although im sure its still pretty few and far between?!

I feel sad for these poor souls who worked hard all their days for some scum to come and take the rest of their days away!

did you hear about the burglar that got stuck trying to climb through a hole in a door...the owner caught him whipped his trousers off and called the police, followed by the news team! If only the same fate happened to all burglars.

There have been 2 robberies *I think* in Burgau recently, one I know was when the owners were asleep in bed they went into every room except that one room. Unfortunately it's that time of year (

Yes I seen that...an arse sticking out the wall into the street, apparently he was there for hours! Shame some rampant homosexual was not passing by to bugger the burgular... im sure he would have known better than most how it would feel to have "forced entry in the back door"

Seems to be a robbery story in the Resident every week now, often violent.

Very worrying.
