I live in Tavira and am wondering if anybody knows the nearest place to go for fish and aquarium-related things?

Someone might be able to confirm if it's still there, but a while back there was a pet shop on the N125 going through Olhao that had fish tanks etc. You could park right outside the shop as well.

Def one in faro shopping , ground level next to C and A , I think the one in Tavira is long gone.

The pet shop in Tavira IS still there. It is opposite the Remax office behind the Tavira cinema/theatre. It is called Tetra and it does have fish (mostly small tropical) and aquaria.

BTW, also went to the Carrefour in Cartaya and the pet shop there also has fish - probably a better selection than the pet shop in Tavira.

Passing through Olhao on the EN125, slow down approaching the GALP station and then immediately filter right. Algarpets are there.
Just past GALP on the same side is another pet shop.
If you get tired looking at fish and birds then pop-in to Cupido a little further on. Various exotic items on display.

They also have fish (but perhaps more like pond type fish) at the big garden centre just as you come off the motorway at Guia on the way to Algarve Shopping and Iceland

If you get to see any of the mentioned shops could you let me know what you find.I am about 500k away in Central PT and it's a long drive only to find they are not what i want.

I am after Dwarf Chiclids to get back into breeding again.
