Thanks BillBullock . You could be right. We are inclined to discover more about the Eastern Algarve amongst other locations, but it's right up there at the top. It's so interesting to hear about your micro-climates there; ours are more about water conditions and winds as we need to travel around our islands by small boat. I actually like the sound of the area you're in; we have closely considered the Loule area which isn't far away.

Not sure if we can tie Portugal in to our upcoming trip back to Blighty to to existing commitments, but we're looking forward to a couple of weeks in the vicinity, and further afield.
