Default Lourinha and Sao Bernardino

Have been checking out the Silver Coast a bit, looking for nice places to live, big enough but not too big (or expensive). Would like a small ex-pat community. Lourinha looks lovely, does anyone know if there are any Brits there? any advice on anywhere similar appreciated.

Thought you'd already settled somewhere near Tomar?

We have bought a house in Lourinha and are due to complete at the end of the month, but are only using it for holidays.

There aren't many Brits there (one of the reasons we chose the area), but you can generally find people who speak English or who are prepared to listen to my limited Portuguese

The area and surrounding areas are beautiful. Beaches are fantastic

Good luck with whatever you choose

Hi just noticed your thread, I was set on finding a property in Lourinha the first time I visited the town and I have not changed my mind now that we have had a place there for 6 months. Good luck with the property search.

It's a great area to live with fab beaches and beautiful countryside,

Hi, I believe there are small comunites everywhere... but I have to confess that you will find more in Foz area, nadadouro and Caldas....

But with the fantastic motorways we have in this area in 15 to 20 minutes you are in each of the places

regards

Paulo
