Laundry Spiders
#1
Has anybody heard of these?
Whilst in bed, a good friend of mine was been bitten on the leg by a small spider. She has been told that these spiders are known as 'laundry spiders' as they hide in the laundry whilst on the clothes line and bite at night whilst you are asleep. The bite was small to start with but has gotten much, much larger and looks quite aggressive. The local health centre doctor gave her some anti-biotics which have helped a bit but she was told that it may take up to 3 months - yes, 3 months - to go away.
Has anyone else heard of these spiders - and any recommendations as to how to deal with them?
Thanks
Allan H.

Oh no, never heard of them and now dreading the idea of one being in the bed!
I have been bitten before by a fly type thing, I think they are called deer flies or something, (not horse they are only small) and my arm swelled up and I couldn't feel my fingers in the end. I went to private docs, paid a fortune for anti-b's and nothing helped then I went to hosp paid 5 euros and they gave me a cortisone injection which immediately started working.
If it doesn't get any better I'd suggest the injection it was fab.
