I get the feeling that everyone on here now looks at the UK as some sort of backward nation, with Portugal being the promised land of milk and honey. Well the grass is always greener where you are, but happy to report all still fine in the UK too, despite Brexit.

I must point out ... it is rain season here at this time of year to make up for the five plus months in the Summer when we get zero. We need it for the dams so we have water for the dry months..

Oh no it's NOT, its cold, wet and miserable in N Wales today. At least in Portugal the rain is usually warmer and the wine's cheaper.

https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&so...L38AfQ5sReE83B Edit. On second reading you could have been talking about the wine, not North Wales, apologies if my bad. |
Re: Frost resigns !!
Just for a bit of "weather balance" it is a lovely morning here in North Wales today, 35 mile done on the bike, not a drop of rain.
And as I don't drink wine I have no idea of the price differential between Wales and Portugal. Obviously Wales & Scotland now have MUP on alcohol so if I did want some it may be cheaper across the border where MUP has not come in......yet! |

Please dont all shout at me............the only way I can drink any PT wines I have opened is to leave it open for 2 weeks before drinking, and after 3 decants and frothing. Even then it usually ends up in a Spag Bol, or Chilli. |

Plenty of good wine in Portugal, but it depends what you like, not everyone has the same taste. What non-Portuguese wines do you like?
