Me too Jonny22.
Originally my MEO landline gave me 1.5Mbps. I switched to MEO 3G and get between 15-20Mbps. Strangely 4G is slower so I locked it to 3G. I use a Huawei B310S router, which was supplied by MEO, linked to a Fullband MIMORAD antenna. I can stream just about anything, although HD at 1080P can buffer sometimes. Had it for about a year now and never had a problem with data restrictions. I also have a Huawei B592S which I tried with a Vodafone PAYGO SIM. Faster but data caps put me off. I use that elsewhere. NOS was a non starter as reception very poor. |

Be pleased to be surprised then. 3G or 4G is more than able to stream Netflix, TV and movies, I’m watching right now, no buffering. Things you need to do are: Ensure you have decent 3G or, better, 4G reception where you are, you only need 3mbps to stream. I find Vodafone the best where we are and NOS the worst but horses for courses. Invest in a decent router, not the mifi they give you for free. A decent router can be hardwired to the TV so better connection. If it can be done for Euros 25 a month with no commitment for more than a month - why are so many ( most ? ) ppl paying twice that with 12 and 24 month contracts for wired internet connection ? |

We have absolutely nothing, just the way I like it. If on the rare occasion I won't to look something up I just go to the local bar.

Re: Fiber optic internet options
My data is around 125-150Gb per month. I subscriber to the M40 package. 3 mobiles, one with my old fixed line number, internet and satellite TV. Cost is around €75 per month, much less than I was paying before.
