The stuff for waterproofing/maintaining tents, or in my case my convertible soft top.
I've been out on a search today around Faro and can't seem to find anything the same or similar.
It can't be posted from the UK (according to Parcel Force) and I have no-one coming out who can put a can in their hold luggage.
Has anyone got any suggestions please?

Can't you order from amazon.co.uk?
AFAIK, it doesn't have a UN dangerous goods classification so I see no reason why it can't be shipped from the UK.

Good point! The PO won't accept aerosols, end-of, but direct shippers like Amazon might be able to do it. I never thought of that, thank you.

Having looked at Interparcel (no connection) whom I have always found competive it does say that aerosols are prohibited.
Best bet perhaps get somebody to bring one out in hold luggage. Must be OK to do that think of all the sprays / shaving cream brought out for holi

With the amount of camping sites & boats etc in PT, I'd bet there has to be a local equivalent and/or importers of Fabsil or Nikwax.
Might be worth trying a few camping shops or chandlers.
There's plenty on amazon & ebay but most seem to have expensive shipping.
Technically, it's illegal to take any pressurised container onto any commercial aircraft (Air Navigation Order, Carriage of Dangerous Goods Act) but I appreciate many people do.

Another option might be to contact britishcornershop.co.uk who have a set shipping charge of about UKP11 per box & ask them if they could add a tin or two to the box if you make an order.
They're usually VERY helpful & do ship other pressurised items without any problems.

Thanks for all the help. I did try a few camping shops without success, also some motor factors. It's not urgent, just for maintenance really, so I might even see if anyone on ebay ships. The other problem is that no post is delivered to the villa I'm in, it all gets sent to a PO box, so I'm not sure on the procedure. I do check the box each week so might ask about parcels.
Thank you so much for your advice.

When I want something that from the UK that won't post across the water, I have it mailed to Direct transport, and then pick it up from them at their warehouse or in Lagos.
it's usually not much more expensive than the international post.

Yes they do! I have one on order. €14 which isn't too bad.
StarSul on the N125. They seem very helpful and speak very good English, especially after my "agua guarda para conversivle" attempt at an explanation of what I was after.

They also supply the cleaning fluid that might be worth using before waterproofing.
