Exterior paint
Hi can anyone recommend a good exterior paint. We have recently purchased a property where the outside walls are flaky and have moss growing out of them. Also is there a procedure we should follow bearing in mind the walls will be bare in places. Great full for any help/advice thanks

Re: Exterior paint
What are your walls made of? How old is the house? Plastic paint will cover quickly, but doesn't breathe, whitewash (cal) is harder to apply but better suited to older properties. There are a multitude of paints in between.
But whatever you use, it's the preparation that counts and that will take a lot of time and effort for anyone not used to it. Talk to a local handyman - with the labour rates in Portugal, it may be cheaper than you'd think.

Re: Exterior paint
You need to pressure wash it; get all the loose material and green off.
Then repair the cracks and crevices.
Then prime, then paint.
Get advice from a paint shop on the materials if you really want / need to diy it.
