Default Duties on UK purchases from 1st January

More Brexit red tape , it appears we shall have to pay extra duties on parcels shipped from the UK as well as filling out extra paperwork in the UK

Default Re: Duties on UK purchases from 1st January

Direct transport told me there's a 6 month grace period for their deliveries to Portugal [and the other way I assume].
But that was before the deal was announced.

When I get parcels from outside the EU delivered to Portugal, the customs clearance takes 3 weeks to forever [One item could not get through because it was a free gift, so I had no invoice].
When I can get enough documents to satisfy them, and manage to navigate the troublesome CTT customs website, the charges are around 50%.

Supposedly items worth less than 10 euros get let through. I have ordered small items from China and that seemed to hold up.
