Hi all.we are driving from St Malo to Lisbon area with two dogs.unfortunately too late to book Santander!has anyone any experience of this route that could give us advice.we will need a stop over in Spain so anybody any recommendations for accommodation would be great.thanks in advance.

We used IBIS hotels when travelling from Calais to the Algarve this year, most IBIS are pet friendly for a small charge. We stopped at Tours and Valladolid and both were fine. Having an Accor group membership gets you a discount too. Driving back to Santander we used IBIS Salamanca and loved the town. Another tip would be to get a tag for the French toll roads, made a huge difference to us, happy Travels!

We stopped at Poitiers Futurascope They have two dog friendly hotels there

Also stopped at the Novotel in Valladolid .Very dog friendly (they get a gift upon arrival) Can't take them into the dining room though
