Car Insurance in Portugal
Without having spoken with my Insurance company in Portugal, does anyone know if a British friend with full UK DL no points, is OK to drive my Portuguese car, with or without my being in the car, which is fully legal, with insurance, IPO and Taxed.

Yes
You'll be better to type out a signed letter stating his name, dob, driving licence number, passport number, giving him express permission with a date on the letter.
The usual drill ,the more bits of crap (information)tied together the better
ALWAYS best to check with YOUR insurance company though
