Default Automatic gearbox

Does anyone have a car with an automatic gearbox, if so, do you know where to get it serviced? Preferrably Algarve. Many thanks.

Why do you think a car with an automatic gearbox requires a special service location?

Other than a periodic flush and replacement of the transmission fluid there is nothing special about a car with an automatic transmission.

FWIW does you car have a traditional automatic gearbox (multiple discrete gears) or a continuously variable transmission (CVT)?

Knowing the make would help? Most garages in my experience won't touch them. JapSport will service all the German makes.

As Pulaski said.

Unless it's a repair rather than a simple service, in which case yep you need a specialist who actually wants to do it... Not easy

There are a few simple external repairs that any mechanic can do; for anything serious wrong on an automatic gearbox, the simplest, most reliable, and cheapest option is usually to replace it with a second hand one from a low mileage accident car.
And any garage can do that too.

And if it's a CVT, they're unrepairable and can only be swapped out for a replacement unit, which is why I asked.
