Default Alojamento Local Licence

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me. My husband and I are in the process of trying to apply for an AL licence. The camara has stipulated we need a electric oven. We live in the Azores and the selection of larger items is limited. Does anyone know if it is acceptable to have a gas hob and electric oven? Or does the hob need to be electric too?

Thanks so much in advance for any tips!

Laura

I think you'll have difficulty having ANY gas appliances - why would they allow a gas hob but not a gas oven or water-heater?

This, along with the water requirements have made it difficult for many people to gain a license.

Thanks, our local camara seem to think it's fine that our water is heated by a gas boiler.
The reason I'm asking is because be can't find an 'all electric' oven (i.e hob and oven) in the Azores.

If internal, I'm surprised - my water heaters are mounted in external "cupboards", so both the gas bottle and the heater/exhaust are outside, but the Câmara were still not happy...... and we were told that even piping the gas from this external source to a hob was not acceptable.

As the concern is for CO and gas safety, it makes no sense for them to ban one appliance but allow another - but, as always in Portugal, the rules are open to interpretation.
