Agricultural sprayers licence
Does anyone have a Portuguese licence to spray agri-chemicals ?
Where did you apply for one ?
Did you have to sit a sprayers course ?
Was the course in English ?
How much did it cost ?
Any other info on the subject would be appreciated !
Thank you.

Yes, I've got one. When the requirement was introduced, the local co-op advertised the fact and offered courses on their premises.
Looking at my records, it was a total of 29 hours tuition at a cost of 35 euros for 25 hours of that and then a further 4 hours for which I don't have a receipt. Back then, it was offered to all and sundry as a lot of people in this area do a bit of cultivation.
It was all in Portuguese but there wasn't anything complicated about it or any real test to sit to get the card which authorises purchases. Really just a matter of attending. I wouldn't have liked to have sat through it if I didn't understand what was being said, though.

It makes sense that if the chemical instructions and warnings are written in Portuguese then understanding Portuguese would be necessary. Half way through A1 lessons is not going to be enough. Thank you for your help.
