WA - June 2013 Intake - Progress & Results
With so many threads going on, I thought it might be a good idea to put a thread for the final 250 of us through to the latter stages to post the results as they come in, and to discuss the stages from here on....
A couple of others have mentioned, the magic number is supposed to be 150 (my mate in WAPOL has confirmed this through recruiting), from the 250 left, we had 3-4 missing on our test on Tuesday. Did anyone else notice any missing ? It basically means the more dropping out now, the better chance the ones that are left in, have.
Fitness is the next thing to focus on. I would strongly suggest (those of us that aren't fitness freaks) get some practise in. The 20m beep test is harder than you think !! And that bloody sit-up !!
I got a 30m surveyors tape-measure from eBay (other auction sites are available) for about £7 delivered, and some training cones for about £5. Money well spent !!

I found the maths really hard but ironically enough the numbers is what might save me. I have lost 2 stone in 6 weeks and hope to god I get the chance. I reckon I got 20 on the maths confidently. I hope its enough. Im thinking optimistically maybe that these tests are just seeing if you are suitable for a job there is no grading like gsce and as long as you havent totally flopped they will give u a chance on fitness cause they will know a large number will drop out and fail fitness and there isnt that many left to lose. I think there will only be 230 or so.

There was definitely a couple of empty seats at today's exam, couldn't/didn't see behind me, but that's another 2 off the list!!
Worrying about the maths side, the spelling was fine, there will be a couple of wrong shapes I'm sure, the last few on section E were bloody hard. As for the word tests, who know?
Fingers crossed for everyone. Now to sit back and wait for the results, except we can't sit back!! Out running, cycling, sit ups and press ups!!
Good luck.

Hi fhj and welcome.
The 250 were those that took test entrance exam in London in July. WA are looking to recruit up to 150 from those 250 for transitional courses through 2014.
Have you applied yourself?

I believe that they are looking for UPTO 150 from the UK. I don't know if that includes those that are travelling over to Perth to complete testing. Someone might be able to tell you.

Congratulations!!! I thought we were all finding out next week. For the bleep test try putting a treadmill on 13kph which is top speed required to get to 10.1 and run for 12 mins which is more than the time it will take. Keep doinf this and it will seem easy in no time. I have heard nothing yet but I have had an email asking me to certify a couple of documents so im hoping that's good news. Good luck

They weren't due out until Monday anyway and my day is the 2nd sep, there over here until the 27th so bet there working through the days. I wish mine was the latter part of the month reckon that extra 20 odd days would of come in handy. Likewise the document email so reckon that's a sign.
