Hi,

I'm a British ex-pat and wondering what kind of testing they do in Calgary Police. Specifically, any drug testing? I'm not a druggie but I've smoked marijuana at a party recently and wondering if it shows up, and if I'll be disqualified just for that.

This is just my opinion as we all have done things in the past for whatever reason but I would suggest that if you have done marijuana recently then you should consider if the police is your right career choice at this moment in time.

Yeah, you are probably right. No, it's not something I do regularly, but it's probably not the right career avenue for me right now.

Crack cocaine is a far better option because it doesn't stay in one's system for so long (or so I'm told).

I think the polygraph is quite good at detecting either in the system though
