Of course I can start an administrative lawsuit to get the temporary discharge but at that point I will think about quitting my national job. In your country your employer is bound by law to grant the leave?

From my understanding my employer is obliged, but he can raise issues if it is asked without a minimum of 90day from the starting date.

Thanks 5200, I had supposed that starting next May, June or July would depend on your level ( basic, medium, advanced) Maybe the "basic" tranning is common to all levels. Just wondering, because I really have no idea when or where the stuff will start. I' m too concerned with my physical test before even thinking of retirements or contracts, but I really appreciate all kind of info. Well done to those who passed already and good luck to anyone else still "suffering"

The people in the interview told you that there will be 3 training series? Is it final?

Here is the training program outlining the 3 separate entry dates for MAY, JUNE and JULY. this is used for the training staff hence the 79 at the bottom. Id imagine its subject to change.

Who will start at each period? Is it a matter of levels?

I really dont know, perhaps thats the case but was it not the case they only took on so few Advanced applications? I could be wrong, In that case that class would be quite small compared to others. Its all purely speculation.

The three intakes could be to facilitate a lesser of a burden on the training establishment (still yet to be determined) as 700 candidates rocking up to its door will be illogical. only time will tell, Hoping to find out more this week and next.

I'm guessing that after sending your certificates, in reply to the email you mentioned having received from Frontex, you haven't had more news.
I'm also thinking that most probably for you the next stage of the procedure will be receiving a call to take the medical exams and simultaneously a job offer. Do you agree?!

Re: Frontex Border Guard

I think someone at the start of this form on the first few pages mentioned that they were only taking 7 Advanced positions, but no one can really know for sure. That is correct Lenka01 I have no got anymore news as of yet but i submitted it last Friday so it may be this Friday or next.

The next step as of this is the contract offer and then the medical. Also it mentions all candidates will conduct basic training.

Re: Frontex Border Guard

This Monday they sent another batch of invitations for English exam. I am assuming no job offer will be made until they finnish all the interviews.

About the advanced positions, those are hard to reach, given the fact that a lot of border guards with years and years of experience applied. I was interviewed for advanced, and I have my doubts about my chances.

At the interview they said that if it's the case to be selected, the invitation for medical checks would arrive in 4-5 weeks.

Hello 5200,

I received invitation for tests on the 12th and 13th. Also only for advanced although i applied for both advanced and intermediate.

Did they tell you about chances to be hired as an intermediate position possibly ?

I also remember the post saying only 7 advanced on 700 positions ! 😲

And for information to others, all the travel costs (flights) are reimbursed according a notice that you can find on the Frontex website ( job offers section) sorry i can't post link.

Good morning.
And when did you have your interview?
Just to keep track when the first ones will know when they are chosen.

I had my interview last week. I applied for all 3, and got invitation for intermediate and advanced only.
