I have just enrolled in the UK postal vote system, but I now find out that they only post out the ballot papers approx 21 days before they are required back, turn around here can be up to 10 weeks.

Does anyone who is enrolled in UK postal voting here manage to vote, if so how?

You can also vote by proxy. You nominate someone to vote on your behalf.

They did mention that, but me and my only brother are like chalk and cheese andI think I might find I have voted for the "Monster Raving Lunatic Party"

If you have a definite political preference, the party of your choice will get a proxy for you. Even if you are a Monster raving Looney.

You do not need to name a relative to do the proxy vote for you. Have you got good friends in the UK who could do this for you?

I use my son as a proxy as the postal system can take to long especially if you don't live in Manila/Luzon, as we don't. Our post can take anywhere between 1 and 6 weeks, one way!!
