Just received a letter from UK Pensions office advising me that my pension will increase by 2.5% in April.
Two good things about this:-

1 I get an increase
2 The letter from them was delivered to my house here in Davao, transit time a little over one month.

Yes. Only 2.5% but its better than a poke in the eye. No word on my Military Pension yet but I understand the Personal Allowance for tax purposes is increasing to £1250. And the GBP is buoyant at the moment following the farcical Brexit proceedings....which surprised me.

Not received my letter yet, but the post office here tends to keep my mail until one of the 13 employees can get off their backside to deliver. Which takes about 7 - 10 days. Mind you....it is a long way a away......about 1 km max.

Be grateful we live in a country, one of 17 that has indexation of the state pension. many more places have none. As for sterling, the more likely of not living Europe or a delay resulting in a far softer Brexit will see sterling appreciate to probably 75;1. Some still think that a no deal Brexit may make a comeback, so the value is still being dragged.

Sorry for you my State Pension increase comes out at 3.088%

You are just showing off. Post delivered. I have lived here 10 years and only had one letter delivered in that time.

It could well be that much, I never know how to calculate my weekly pension as its paid 3 monthly.

I beleive the triple lock-in guarantees a minimum of 3%

With respect to UK state pension. Is there any way to check online what you may or may not be expecting when you retire. I keep getting - please send a letter.
