You can't get a state pension before retirement age, which is currently 65 but will go up progressively to 68 over the next 21 years. You might be able to get private pension earlier.

As far as I am aware retirement age is not changed if living abroad but a read through the HMRC web site should be able to give the definitive information.

I do not want to 'thread jack'' a topic so i have started a new thread for state pension. If i have done the wrong ting i would be grateful if the mods could step in and put me to rights
