We always have plenty of criticism aired here but I thought it might be useful to air instances in this thread where either common sense prevailed or for other reasons obviously impracticable, misguided, laws, schemes and changes did not go ahead.

For a start: SIM card registration. Just vetoed by the President:

Also another big idea which seems to have died a death lately is federalism. I think that is good. Regional splits are very obvious in the election campaign and the pandemic shows that giving regions more independence would cause problems and weaken central government control in similar nationwide calamaties in the future.
