International Removals during UK Coronavirus Lockdown
Hello!
Just a quick update for those that have imminent shipping services due to commence in the UK....Good news is that the UK Government have confirmed that you can still move home if you need to during the National Lockdown, and that removal firms can continue to work where they are able to do so under Covid-19 Secure guidelines for our industry.
If this does affect you it is a good idea to have a quick read of the government's advice on moving safely during the national lockdown here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/governme...id-19-outbreak. This specific guidance hasn't been updated since the introduction of Tier 4 but our understanding is that this remains the same recommendations for the National Lockdown too.
We've also put together updated guidance of our own on planning for a move during the pandemic as there are a few things that are different to the normal process, and some really important questions you should be asking your potential moving companies. https://www.bournesmoves.com/home-mo...virus-lockdown
Hope it helps! If anyone has any specific worries about the impact of lockdown or the pandemic risks on your international removals services i'll be happy to try and answer!
