Hi there

I am a registered nurse. I am debating whether a working holiday visa may be a better option for me but wondered what others views are on this?

My sister has permanent residency in Oz and lives in Adelaide. I am in all honesty in two minds whether moving to Australia permanently is right for me having only been on holiday there once. I would love to give it a go though sof just thought rather than committing to a 189 visa would it maybe be a more sensible option to just go on a basic working holiday visa? I would like to do some travelling too as I feel this would give me a better insight into where on Australia to settle. But anyone on this visa I know you can only work with one employer for 3 months max but did you find it OK to find bank agency work? If whilst there I thought Australia is definitely for me could I start the process of applying for a permanent 189 visa whilst our there?

You would need to be registered with AHPRA to do nursing - but you can work for an employer for up to 6 months. There are also some changes in the new year I think to these restrictions, possibly allowing up to 12 months in some situations but I can't fully remember the changes.

Yes know all about the APHRA stuff.
But my main query is if I liked it whilst out there on the working holiday visa, could I start applying for the 189 permanent visa whilst still out there in Australia?
