Warning Regarding Medicals!
We live in the Caribbean, and flew to the US at great expense to have our medicals for our Oz visa. My partner is a nurse, i am not.
We got an email from DIMIA this morning asking us to make contact with our panel doctor for the results of my partners hep b and hep c tests. Turns out the panel doctor did not request these tests, due to the fact they obviously did not know that health workers require them. We paid the medical centre a great deal of money for our medicals, and their supposed expertise. It looks like my partner is now going to have to fly back to the US, to have the bloods done again. This is a real pain in the arse because our application has been delayed because of it, and it is costing us alot of money. When i sugested to the medical centre that they may be gracious eneaugh to foot the bill for the new blood tests and courier delivery cost, seeing as it was their balls up, they were having none of it - AAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

I think when we have got permanant residency, i am going to make DIMIA aware of the situation, the medical centre deny and responsibility, which really takes the piss in my opinion.
If anyone else has any ideas i am open to suggestions!

That sucks, you know in the UK you can get blood tests at the GP for FREE you don't even need to get a flight. Nice to know it's not only the Cayman Govt and the RCIP that shaft people.
