UK Doctor to Canada
Hi all,
Apologies if this question has been asked before.
I'm a UK-trained doctor about to enter GP training. All being well, I should be a fully-qualified GP in three years' time, after which I would be hoping to relocate to Canada.
I've seen some describe the process as fairly straightforward (albeit time-consuming), but what I don't understand is whether or not I would need to complete a Canadian "residency" to be allowed to practise. Some talk about a period of provisional registration and supervision by another GP, but is this the same as a residency programme?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Tom
