Clearly it will be quicker at ANMC stage but you have to look at the time for an ANMC regular assessment compared to the combined time for state registration and modified ANMC.

Processing times in the state/territory boards will vary. And there is of course the extra postal time.

The are both skills assessment that are needed for the visa application. However you only have to do one of them. If you are registered with the nursing board then you can do the modified skills assessment which is slightly cheeper and very simple, (I did this one). As it is not necessary to register first to apply for a visa some people do the full skills assessment and then register when they get here.
