Default Newbie-Final year student

Hi all,

I am a third year adult nursing student in Scotland (BSc programme) So hubby is an electrician and we have 3 kids. We are house swapping with our friends in brisbane next year for a month.

So my query is, we were hoping to start the visa process when we get back, I will qualify in Feb and hope to have my registration by April 2013, as far as I so far understand, to nurse in Australia a minimum of one year post grad experience is required, is this correct?

Also, if we started the application process next July/Aug (I will have approx 4/5 month experience by this point) by the time the visa is processed I will have at least 1 years post grad experience, will this be taken into account?

I am exploring my options at the minute and any information, advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks
