A lot of hospitals are put off by the cost of sponsoring and bringing over nurses 5k each. I know that NASANSB (nursing agency) in south australia are sponsoring 50 uk nurses to come over and this agency is widely used by hospitals here.
I have met a lot of nurses who regret coming over on 457 and wish they had gone for the skilled migrant 136 instead. They didn't like being ties to the one employer and had to approach others to take the sponsorship up.
