Mental Health nursing employment
Does anyone know of countries/companies which require Mental Health/Psychiatric nurses other than Canada, Australia, the UK and New Zealand? I think there are very limited opportunities in the Middle East, but they're so limited it's hardly worth looking.
My research leads me to believe that anywhere else other than the above countries see no need for specialist mental health nurses who aren't also a general nurse.
I'm a British qualified RMN. I'm 52 - so too old for Australia I think. Short term contracts (3 months plus) are fine - indeed short term contracts in the above countries, other than the UK where I'm based, would be OK too. Pay needs to be roughly on a par with the UK.
