you should get your GP to do some tests, it maybe a urine infection and simple to clear up. what did the doc say to you at your medical?
when i left from having my medical i realised that the doc hadn't even bothered asking me for a urine specimen! had been too excited when in there and forgot to ask or say. doc really has a cheek to ask for £140 and not do the medical fully, she must have just ticked the box: all clear because my medical passed.
anyway, i hope you get this sorted out ok

Re: medical probs
[Hi Miss Carol,
Thanks for taking the trouble to reply,
I really hope that it is only an infection, getting it checked out next week.
Really worried though, first and foremost about the old boy and then secondly our chance of a new start in Australia.
cheers bex66

Try not to worry too much if they used a dip stick for the uriine test (multi test) they can be so sensitive to blood that when followed by a full Mid stream test that nothing can show up.
Good luck though

Hi Glittababe,
Thanks for asking,
Saw a urologist who did a variety of investigations, xray, ultrasound scan and a look inside the bladder, all to find nothing abnormal thankfully.
But don't really know where that leaves us, Old boy still has blood in urine, He is back to the GP tonight to ask what next, considered ringing the doctors who perform medicals for migration for advice.
Any body got any ideas

Might be worth contacting the immigration docs for advice, if the urologist doesn't plan any more investigations and has discharged him, then would the immi docs want to do any further tests? or would they pass his medical? If you get the urologist to do a report for you then that may be all they need. However the docs in Sydney still may ask for further info at a later date.

Hi primrose,
How are you? You work in Urology don't you? perhaps you could answer this question. The clinic discharged my husband and just put on the doctors letter no follow up, do they usually make recommendations for nephrology referals at these one stop haematuria clinics?
Hope your application is going smoothly
regards

If its microscopic, and only been picked up on labstix and all the other tests have come back as negative, then the urologists wouldn't normally follow up further unless there were other symptoms.
See what your G.P. advises tonight.
We are just waiting for visa now.
