Hi all,

Now I know I am probably being very impatient here but I just wondered how long I should expect to wait to hear from the ANMC regarding my skills assessment.

We were hoping to be out on Australia by August/September this year but things aren't looking too good. Am I right in thinking it could be 6 to 9 months before a visa is granted once we have applied (applying for PR skilled).

Would like to know how long others have waited for each individual bit - have got job with Queensland Health so at least one hurdle has been jumped.

ANMC said they could approve skills assessment in 2-4 days, mine took 6 wks as they requested more info and took their own chuffing time about it.

From receiving application (front loaded medicals two mths after application and Police checks three mths after application) got visa 4months 2 days after lodging visa application

Hi Jackie,
I received an acknowledgement letter about a week after they took my payment back in August. My ANMC skills assessment took 7 weeks and 1 day from the day of posting to the 'Letter of Determination' arriving at my house.

I posted mine on 21st Nov and still waiting!!!! Mind you now I've found out I need to do the IELTS for my 25 points, I'm not in quite so much of a hurry!:curse:

I have to do that English-itls thingy! What pain.
One hundred quid down the swany...
I actually dont need it if my present employer would give me a reference sharpish- this would give me the full 3 years work...which I have done!
But the first ref took 13 weeks!
So I am sitting the english exam in 3 weeks instead of chasing my tail with my boss....

Contacted ANMC last week - said they were hoping to have assessed my file by the end of this month (January).

Also said that they were very busy at the moment registering all of their recent graduates!!!

Hi, having exchanged emails with ANMC earlier this week they are processing applications from late Nov at the current time..

Hi i sent my skills assessment off to ANMC on the 30th of Nov and still waiting as well. The waiting is the worst part about the whole process i think hope everyone passes soon
