do i need to be registered to apply for visa?
Hello, me again..............do i need to be registered with a state board...ie queensland to apply for visa? or is letter of determination all i need from anmc? been re reading all my paperwork and got really confused now!...thanks loux

You don't need the registration for the visa but you'll need it before you can start work.

thanks for such a quick reply..............just getting knickers in a twist...last minute nerves and on umteenth check of visa application form! any chance of picking your brains some more? do i need to get nmc to send verification of registration to skills processing centre? thanks loux

If you want to save a bit of money you can register with the state board first and once you've got that registration you can do a 'modified' skills assessment with the anmc which is cheaper than the full assessment :-)

Yes you do.
If you want to save a bit of money you can register with the state board first and once you've got that registration you can do a 'modified' skills assessment with the anmc which is cheaper than the full assessment :-)

If it's for a general skilled visa (eg 136, 134, etc) then you do not need state registration to apply. An ANMC skill assessment will do.
