Calling all Midwifes in Brisbane
Hi there, If there are any british Midwifes in Brisbane that would like to chat, we would like to hear from you.
My fiance "Carol" has a midwifery position offered at the "Wesley" in Brisbane. We plan on emergrating in Sept/Oct 07 after getting married in April in Brisbane (while on holiday).
Help, advise or recommendations would be gratefully received.
Anybody out there?

Not there yet,visa submitted this month ,but the Wesley is somewhere I am considering.My friend works there and I have sent my cv,it has been shown to the head of obstetrics who said "when can she start" so thats fairly encouraging!

Has your wife got employment as a midwife in brisbane? We are moving in March 2008 and I am seeking employment also. Will just be newly qualified at degree level. Do you think I will have a hard time finding something?

Removal company booked for the 7th, Flights are booked for 8th Jan 08 and Carol has a position at the "Wesley" Private hospital. She also has an Interview on 22nd Oct in Manchester for "Queensland Health" just to edge our bets. Pm me and i will give you her email address. You can ask her all the Girly questions.

I too am applying for an interview with Queensland Health. Not got confirmation of where and when yet. What job has your wife got with Wesley private hospital? Is it midwifery? Not sure how to pm you. L

Just right hand click on my name and on the drop down menu click on send "PM to me.
Carol has a "Midwifes job at the "Wesley", they are seriously short of people, they only have 2 full time midwifes working ther the rest are "Bank".
They offer incentives like $2000 signing on bonus and 2 weeks free accomodation etc.
Carol has an interview in Manchester (location tba) on 22nd October at 1.45pm, im sure she would love to talk to you, she has a lot of experience as she worked in Auckland as a comunity midwife for 3 1/2 years.
What part of the country do you live?
