Re: Another reason to leave!
Well, are we really suprised?
Not only are they shaking up our roles, job descriptions, increasing workload and responsibility for the same money, we are expected to survive on money that doesn't match the inflation on most bills! great!
The NHS is running it's nurses on goodwill and has been doing that for years. And as for our lovely nursing unions thinking about taking 'action' about it - that's a first!
Lets face it, nursing is a profession that can help you to travel around the world, but if you are in it for the money ......
- lap dancing may be a better option! (maybe not with my legs tho! )

Re: Another reason to leave!
I think it is disgusting personally...another reason to move to OZ. Not sure it will be better but the days off certainly will be worth it. I am fed up of people saying nurses whinge about their pay but I would like to see some people do our job and realise what we are moaning about...not that we do it for the money eh? It's because we love the job and are caring people......
They will be stuffed when we all leave for countries that pay well though wont they? USA pays well according to my dad. He could be wrong though.
