Talking Working holiday to residency

Hi all

We have finally decided to go for it and go in September on the Working holiday visa, we are hoping to move on a permanent basis with residency being the goal.... but i have a question.... if we get job offers based on a working holiday ( we know these can only be temporary max one year with the same employer) do we have to go through the EOI process or can we simply apply for residency?.... do you need a permanent job offer to apply for residency? if so does that mean we swap to a work permit as we cant have permanent jobs on the working holiday visa......

Hope this all makes sense.

Good day guys!

1 You have to lodge an EOI

2 You do not need a permanent job, if you have sufficent points. But if you are in the low 100's, then yes a permanent job is a requirement.

3 Yup, you will need a work permit.

Good luck and remember to bring all your paperwork!

Thanks

We are trying to get all paperwork sorted now, sent off both our qualification to NZQA yesterday and writing plenty of lists to make sure we have everything.

We are just managing to get 100 points so are going to need the permanent job offer to submit the EOI, just thought we had best check we were reading things correctly, dont really want to go through a agent as every penny is going to count.

Thanks again

Fi
