Smile Work will set you free!

I saw a political party sign today that said "The answer to welfare is work", it does beg a few questions though:
1. Is there not a more convenient arrangement? Work just isn't working for me, the getting paid bit is fine but the rest is playing havoc with my social life.
2. If the solution to welfare is work, what is the solution to work?
3. If you were employed to promote a right wing political party would you opt for a such a Dachau-esque slogan? It seems as if either whoever wrote is was ignorant of history or invoking the famous Nazi concentration camp slogan ""Arbeit macht frei" ("work will set you free").

Well aware of a phrase the Nazis used, but only someone seeking offence or wanting to cause trouble would associate a statement saying "The answer to welfare is work" to it.

Perfectly rational statement.
