Morning all,

For those already in Christchurch and the surrounds, I hope this finds you all hale and hearty and enjoying the Cantabrian summer (what there's been of it so far!).

Believe it or not, the land of the long white cloud has been our host now for over three years, and just this minute I have thought that it warrants a wee celebratory get-together to mark the date.

Therefore, I have taken the brave move of not even consulting Ton and just sticking up here a general invite to an afternoon/ evening of fun'n'frolics at our place in 2 or 3 weekend's time. Included will be a Kiwi bbq with crayfish, paua, fish and of course sausages! All are welcome, and some more info on exact dates will be stuck up here in due course, this is just to test the waters for interest so if you'd be up for it then let me know.

Ok - checked with my beautiful wife and she has given the green light for a big knees up on the afternoon / evening of Saturday February 27th.

Post up here if you fancy it (or PM if you're shy) and we'll PM you the address etc. Be great to see the old faces again, and meet a few fresh ones too!

All are welcome, we'll kick things off at 5pm - just bring a plate and we'll see you there! So you know if we're within taxi/ driving distance, we live in Hoon Hay, South Christchurch.

I now live reasonably close so would love to come along. Problem is I can't make that date but if you're planning anything in the future let me know, please, pretty please!. Life is going to be a bit hectic for the next month or so for various reasons so cannot commit to anything at the moment. It should calm down soon after that...
I'm new to the area so just finding my way around and need to start making friends and getting out more!
