Default Wifi

im coming over in June for job hunting and wanted to keep in contact with the missus.

I`ll have a laptop and wanted to know if NZ has wifi in public places like UK has.

Any information and where they have it will be great

thanks

I have no clue whatsoever but these people seem to:

have a squizz. No idea about costs or which ones are free but it might be worth checking. I will be looking at them myself now

Took the laptop over last November. Depends on where your heading for, i know that the BoP, Coramandel and Northland do have hotspots but you really need to check out the Hotspot sites if you google it for NZ it will bring up a list. As far as costs are concerned its approx. $10 an hour.

Yep Stabucks have wi-fi and there are quite a few hot spots now inc hotel/motel room/lobbies etc and usually free.

Also when I lived in Welly for a month I had free wi-fi thanks to our close proximity to the uni there
