we've swapped to the autumn duvet, I'm slopping about in my Uggs in the evenings and I have dragged out one of my jumpers now the nights are closing in. I did have a hottie the other evening because I was under the weather but got too warm!

OK. We 'fess up.
We have given in & lit our wood burner tonight.
When I went to check on last years diary, it was virtually exactly the same time as last year.

I had been aiming to hold out until 1st May and had a few moments where I have nearly caved but still bearing up, not sure how much longer we'll cope though with colder weather promised this weekend:

We were 30th April last year

Still got the summer duvet on the bed, sleeping a la Marilyn Monroe & no heat pumps on as yet.

So, 16c the minimum acceptable temperature in an office or workplace doesn't really work for me as a comfortable living environment and certainly not the kind of temperature I want in the bathroom when I step out of the shower.

What snuck into the bed just last night.
Was it the cat?
Was it the bed socks?

When the sun is out like today the attic temperature rises to 25C+ and the HRV unit set at 22C pushes the warm dry air down into the living and sleeping areas and the house will retain some of that well into the evening. Of course if the sun fails to appear like the previous couple of days.........
