At the weekend I bought myself a factory racing motorbike and I am going to go racing, going to an open track day this weekend. I had friends back in Scotland who did racing but I just could manage it with cost and location etc just not working, so now here is my chance!
Bring it on!
I think the opportunity to do things we would never do before or even think of, for us and our kids is huge here what do you think?

Like I said in response to Dragon Lady Bute's thread below it won't be long before I'm fishing with my 2 eldest boys off Akaroa on my Searay 290DA!

Here's my list.
Swimming in my out door pool for over six months of the year. Always dreamed of owning a pool in the UK..yeah right!! In NZ its no big deal to have a pool in your garden whereas in the UK it was ONLY for the rich and famous.
Having stunning views from my house of awesome mountains.
Not having to work anymore at 50.
Finally I am trying to pluck up the courage to learn to fly..preferably helicopters..once again in the UK totally unaffordable..again over here quite a few 'regular' people who aren't rich like me learn to fly because its affordable.

Our list would be:
Having sea views from our front garden.
Being able to swim in the sea on New Year's Day.
Being half owners of a boat (a dream come true).
Having a huge 4x4 to tow the boat and being able to afford the insurance.
Life could not be better.

Walking to the beach every day.
Coaching my youngest's rugby team.
Wearing shorts 9 months of the year
Working 4 days a week and home by 3pm.
Doesn't get much better than that.
