Would be useful methinks for us all to see who is headed to the same places as ourselves?

We live in St Albans, Christchurch. We like it well enough. I'd like to become a patrón on a large estancia in Uruguay, but the missus isn't too keen on that. :frown:

Michelle & crew heading for Auckland - because thats where the jobs are!

I'm not keen on staying in Auckland forever so once we've got our residency and Carl has established his NZ career, I think we'll move out of the city life!

I'm already in Auckland so hope that counts. We live way outside Auckland in Beachlands, its beautiful just here. I dont think we'll be here forever but for now its great.

That's the area we would live to move to. Looking on-line though they doesn't seem to be many rentals.:( So i am trying to look in the surrounding areas. Any ideas?:)

We're heading to Auckland initially to use it as our base for job interviews. Both of us have our preferences, but we'll have to wait and see. We're staying out of the city, probably staying on North Shore because that's where Hubby's from.

We are heading for Auckland (again because of the boring job reason) but hope to find a nice peaceful suburb, probably North Shore, so that we can enjoy some of the great outdoors. Then, with PR under our belts, who knows, New Zealand is our Oyster :thumbup: and explore it we shall!

We fly 1 month tomorrow and I am soooo excited now, especially as our stuff is on its merry way so I feel as though a pressure has lifted! :p

There are always rentals around here but best to be here in person as they get snapped up pretty quickly. In winter there is more rentals available than in summer which is understandable. Where will you be working??

Except, people are right, it's awful there, absolutely cr*p, and the rain, wind, cyclones, did I mention the snow? Oh and I think you need a different kind of visa to get in there. Really sorry Sarah, looks like we'll have to leave it!!!:thumbup:
