Where are you all living!!!!!!
If this has already been done I apologise 
but it would help me and possible others to understand where you all are living in NZ. I'm not familiar with the names of places/ towns etc and would help when reading threads and I've just bought a map of NZ!!!!!

I'm usually hanging out in my inner suburb of St Albans in Christchurch, but for the past seven weeks I've been earning rapidly depreciating US dollars in the San Francisco Bay Area. I'm planning to get back to Godzone mid-June.

We live in a village called Mapua. It's just 30 mins from Nelson which is situated at the top end of the South Island. Its a coastal village on the edge of the Wiamea estuary.

We actually bought the Artizanne B&B though we don't run it as a guest house. We are just enjoying having our own home again at the moment.

Nelson and Bays is surrounded by hill ranges and mountains. It has quite 'settled' weather compared to other parts of NZ. We don't get snow here but can ski at the local ski field which is about 2 hours away. Rainbow.
We can grow grapes and avocados. The sun shines most days. Kiwis often choose this area for their holidays.
National Parks and lakes are just a stones throw away. Abel Tasman for one.

There is good tramping here .
I rarely bother to lock the car or for that matter the house. My neighbours are just the same.
Perhaps see you in this area sometime. Its worth a visit.
