Where to for a warm winter break?

It's Bali after all. Himself was really quite set on a return.
We'll stay a bit off the well beaten track in the Ubud area .
I'm having a difficulty settling on anywhere beachside after this though.

The Bali interior is far easier than its dubious extremities....if you know what I mean.
I was up for chucking it all in the air for somewhere else entirely , like Thailand but I think himself is looking to me & what would be a bit familiar for him. We've had a bit of a few months . Himself is not so good with just taking a leap.
We ran around the Oz Northern Territory a couple of decades ago and saw the most amazing rock paintings and landscapes.
I'm definitely up for Perth and surrounds at some point. That has to be done for all reasons mentioned.

Malaysian Airlines were offering $809 to Bali today, guess it's a bit of a pain to backtrack from KL though

BEVS, I have just finished a month in Australia's red centre as part of my training - I'm in love! Alice is like nowhere else I have ever been. But I would also second WA & Ningaloo at this time of year.
Happy holiday planning!
