what you doing at Xmas

Re: what you doing at Xmas
I was thinking that BB. Roads and beaches down here will be empty as most everyone is at home with their families doing the Christmas thing.
We'll put our turkey on to cook slowly, make a packed lunch and then head for a bay called Keteriteri if the weather is good. It was last year. It has a part that is reasonable swimming. Last year it was very peaceful having it almost to ourselves.

First Christmas in NZ was at the outlaws in Auckland in 1996. Was just visiting then. Albeit MIL is scottish so it was a proper dinner. This year will be the first year I've cooked a Christmas Dinner in NZ. Husband has already asked where I would get the capon from. I said Countdown. He also remarked that the parsnips would not be up to much as it's summer. Anyway, I'll cook as near normal Christmas dinner as I can, it'll just be my husband and I . I'll also probably make my savoury sausage rolls on Christmas Eve if it's not to hot !
I can see us having a barbeque on Christmas Eve just to get into the swing of things.
We will visit his rellies in Auckland in December, but not for Christmas. Nuff said.

Is it just me or is your picture thingy taking over the screen Vitalstats?
Good idea on the motorcycle tour Justcol. Maybe I'll get a motorcycle again and we can start a new "chapter" or something.

This will be our 3rd Christmas and still can't get used to it, so we said last year we'd book to go away. So we are off to the Gold Coast for a week and then Sydney for 2 nights. New Year's Eve we will be on a dinner cruise on the harbour ready to watch the fireworks....
